Version Control

Extensive experience using Github for professional and personal projects. Solid understanding of merging, branching, committing, pulling, pushing, cloning, and all other necessary day-to-of Git. Primarily use CLI to perform aforementioned operations.

Documentation

Ability to write system, tech stack, software, and other technical documents to facilitate comprehension of a given project. Capable of utilizing markdown for API documentation and Illustrator or other vector design program for custom technical info-graphics.

API Design

Strong background in development of RESTful APIs (mainly in .NET Core but also Express JS). Capable of developing in both monolithic and micro-service architectures. Consistent error-handling practices and code-splitting. Always concerned with clean routing conventions, proper JSON response sizes, completing operations in a single transaction, minimizing impact on DB performance, and balanced data shapes (for requests and responses) to avoid server-side code clutter and redundancy.

Data Modeling

Understand the pragmatic implications of normalization theory, composite keys, field indexing, primary key selection, cardinality between entities, entity creation, and relational participation between entities. Designed several SQL databases based on crow's foot notation documents by theory into physical implementations. Plenty of experience developing complex SQL queries that fulfill the required CRUD operations for a given problem.
